I am very proud to announce the beta release of an app I’ve been working on for less than a week: ABC News Local.

ABC News Local brings you local news videos from ABC Owned and Operated (O&O) Stations from across the country. You can now get the top news stories from major cities in the US right on Boxee.

As this is a beta release, expect the application to be buggy. I highly encourage everyone who uses the app to please report any issues on the Boxee Forums. If there are any Boxee developers out there willing to lend some advice, please let me know, because I have no idea how on earth I got this far to being with.

My web host currently charges by how much bandwidth I use. I have no idea how much bandwidth this will use. I’m unemployed and don’t really have any money to spend on anything, but I feel really confident about this app and will risk having to spend a little money to get this out to the public.
